Had a long day at work but the best part was dinner with a best friend and a glass of wine.
The day consisted of many stories of that warmed my soul and made me proud of the work I do everyday to help children and families in poverty.
It was exhausting but fulfilling.
The last meeting of the day was filled with a bit of bitterness as a large corporation that has a complex of being superior to everyone in our field came up with a brilliant, cutting edge idea.
The angst comes from the fact that our company has been doing it for fifty years and it has gone unnoticed.
The negative feelings pass when I realize that it is beneficial for our society no matter whose idea it is.
