All parents take pride in their budding musicians,

attending concerts while perched on wooden bleachers in the gym,

blissfully recording every note.

Thankfully as the years pass and the musicians mature, the tunes become more pleasing to the ears.

As a result of the need for extra credit, my younger daughter had to critique the band and choir concert of her older sibling.

She carefully recorded the title (sans capital letters) of each melody, before stating her thoughts about the piece.

This was entertaining and held a sense of honesty that an adult could not get away with!
